Environment Canada has issued an
extreme heat alert
for the Canada Day long weekend, beginning tomorrow and lasting until about mid-week.
To help you beat the heat, some town facilities will be available for use as cooling centres and we encourage all residents to take the necessary precautions to limit outdoor activity and keep cool at one of our air-conditioned facilities or take a dip at one of our pools.
Due to the high temperatures expected splash pads will be also be open for extended hours from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. from June 29 to July 2.
