Share your History for the 150th!
The St. Joe's 150th Anniversary Committee is going to celebrate our history in yet another way. We need your help to fill the showcases in the Social Hall with artifacts and mementos from St. Joe's past. If you have any items that relate to the old church or school, we would love to borrow them for the display.
So, dig around in your attics and closets and see if you can find something that brings a smile to your face and a fond memory of your church or school. Just drop them off at the church office any time during the weeks ahead. Put your name and phone number on them, and if there is a story that goes with the item- please share it. They will be promptly returned after our Harvest Festival 150th Anniversary Weekend celebration that concludes on September 16, 2018.

150th Anniversary Prayer
Gracious God, We gather here today to give you thanks. Thank you for 150 years of faith, family and friendship. Thank you for this community that supports each other in joy and sorrow, baptisms and funerals, in celebrations and the sacraments. WE are grateful Lord, for your love, your blessings and your presence each and every day. May we be faithful witnesses, living in communion with the Holy Spirit, to go forth proclaiming your Good News. We ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord. Amen

Discover the plan that will transform your work, your marriage, your family, your community... your life!
This fall, the Archbishop Harry J. Flynn Catechetical Institute will begin another two-year course at The Saint Paul Seminary. Taught by some of the best instructors in the Twin Cities, such as Bishop Andrew Cozzens, Jeff Cavins, Deacon Joe Michalak, Fr. John Klockeman, Dr. Bill Stevenson, Dr. Todd Flanders, Christina Smith, Linda Corrigan and more, the program follows the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and will make sense of all things Catholic, deepen your faith, and lay out the roadmap to heaven.
The classes are divided into four eleven-week modules and meet on Monday evenings, 7 - 9 pm, with two Saturday morning formative sessions per module. Applications are now being accepted through July 1, 2018, for the class beginning in September. For more information and an application to become part of the Class of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, call 651-962-5028 or visit
www.CIstudent.com
.
Bethany House - Applications are now being accepted!
We are currently taking applications for women interested in Bethany House for September 2018 to May 2019. Bethany House is a home for women who live in community, pray together, take meals together and discern whether they are called to consecrated life. It is sponsored by the Office of Vocations and is located in North East Minneapolis. Qualities of a good candidate for Bethany House include single women, ages 20 - 27, who are interested in dedicating a year to intentionally discerning a vocation to religious life. If this describes you, we invite you to contact us by completing the interest form at 10000vocations.org/bethany-house.
