NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
Are you new to Dayspring UMC or have you been attending for a while and are interested to know more about the church and what is involved in church membership? We invite you to attend a one-hour session with Pastor Jeff to learn more about the United Methodist church and Dayspring specifically on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 2:00 pm. We will meet via an online Zoom meeting or, if you are not able to participate online, we can meet with you via phone. Please email the church office to let us know if you are interested.
UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
United Methodist Women will meet on November 19th via Zoom. This unit meeting will feature Trinity Donovan, CEO of AZCEND Community Support Program, an organization dedicated to changing lives by nourishing minds and bodies to create a connected, thriving community. Everyone is welcome to join in the meeting. Please email Bonny so she can send you an invitation with the meeting link.
BORDERLANDS PRODUCE RESCUE
Borderlands hosts a monthly produce distribution event at Aldersgate UMC where families can purchase 70lbs of rescued produce for $12. In this time of increased unemployment and food insecurity, this ministry is critical for the neighborhood. If you are healthy and looking for a chance to serve, please consider joining us there on Saturday, November 21 at 6:30am to help sort produce, pack boxes and load cars! Be sure to bring a mask and gloves if you have them. Please email Amy to sign up or for more information.
THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE
Our Children's Ministry will again host our Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit the United Food Bank. This will be a drive by, drop off event. We will have masked, distanced volunteers on hand to collect your items including non-perishable food items, frozen turkeys and even cash donations for the purchase of produce. Food items can be dropped off on November 21 and 22 between 8am-12pm. This year, the holiday season will surely find larger numbers of families in need than in years past. Please help us do our small part to support these families
STEWARDSHIP SUNDAY
On Thanksgiving Sunday, November 22, as we give our thanks to God for all we have been given, we will recommit ourselves to the work of Christ's church into the future year through our stewardship commitments. A letter has gone out to the congregation with more information about how to participate with your financial pledge for 2021.

For those who prefer to set up a recurring offering electronically, a pledge can be made online through our new Vanco Online giving site. This is a one-step process to record your pledge and set up a recurring donation.

For people who give with cash, checks or bank checks, a form has been mailed to you to complete and return to the church via mail or it can be scanned and emailed to Nan.

We move into 2021 filled with hope about what the new year will bring. By the grace of God and your continued generosity, we can move into a new future with renewed hope.
LOW: ADVENT STUDY
Our Advent Study will be on the book LOW, An Honest Advent Devotional, by John Pavlovitz. Pavlovitz writes, “Let’s be honest about Advent: we often feel pressured to have it all together and to hide our struggles, to pretend we’re merry when we’re frustrated and stressed and exhausted.” Can you relate?

The Study will be held via Zoom starting November 28 and will be held several times throughout the week. Email the church office to register!
