Congratulations Mrs. Janis Gadow
Mrs. Janis Gadow recently completed the National Geographic Educator Certification Program. Certified Educators are committed to teaching their students about the world and how it works, empowering them to succeed and make it a better place. There was a three-step process involved in earning certification which included an introductory online workshop, creating a set of activities or lessons and submitting a Capstone report and video. We are very proud of you Mrs. Gadow and look forward to seeing you put these new skills into place in your classroom.

Pedestrian  Safety Tips
With pedestrian crashes on the rise in PA, The Center for Traffic Safety has been doing some surveys in the local area and have found that one of the main components of pedestrian errors among teens is earbuds and texting while crossing the street.  These actions are just as dangerous as texting and driving.  With that being said, the group has also found that the most significant problem at school crossings is the drivers, either being distracted, not following pedestrian rules, speeding, etc.  So it is necessary to teach our children to be on the lookout for these drivers and to be vigilant in their awareness of their surroundings.
