Everywhere we look, there's color...
As we gaze over the mountains here in Vermont, there is a beauty at this time of the year that only we can appreciate. So many of us have either Mt. Mansfield or Camel's Hump in our daily view - how great is that? It's time for hikes, bikes, leaf peepers, long Sunday drives, apple picking and pumpkins. It's also time to dig out sweaters and gloves, hats and scarves. And with the weather changes, we start thinking seriously about our indoor projects - most importantly, our quilt projects. We need projects with color, and movement, with texture, and beauty. What is your next quilt? Do you need some help with color selection? Just the right fabric? That's why you come and see us - we're happy to help you take the next steps in your quilting journeys. Stop in soon, and show us what you're working on!

The time has also come to start thinking about holiday gifts. If you love to give handmade items, but don't have the time to make something this year, shop our selection of ready-made items! We've got everything from advent calendars and table runners to full-sized quilts!

Cindy's getting ready for Make A Difference Day 2018! We'll meet Sunday, October 28 to hand-sew bindings on several quilts. Please call the shop and let us know if you're coming - we want to make sure we can accommodate everyone! See the next newsletter for details.

Look at these lovelies! Make the perfect bag for yourself or a friend, and use just two fabrics, or use all nine. Or make a pretty table runner with the border print (below) to get you through the cold winter. We can't wait to see what you do with these!

Effervescence

by Robert Kaufman

Wow! That was our first reaction to these gorgeous prints! The two colorways on the left are actually from one bolt of fabric, and the two on the right are from another. So you get lots of color choice - more bang for your buck. Don't wait too long on these - they're going to fly out the door!

Notions, News & Other Notes

Our Moda sales rep is always bringing fabulous new things to show Judy - here is one she couldn't resist! The North Pole Elves panel makes these adorable dolls, and you can finish them before the holidays!

Carol Armstrong is a big name in the world of hand appliqu é - nature is her inspiration, and she creates very realistic-looking flora and fauna.
