FROM RACHEL YATES, PRESBYTERY EXECUTIVE
LETTING GO
I hang onto things longer than I should.  Near our garage, a cubby holds our boots and coats.  Each time I pass through, I see a solitary boot in one slot.  A boot for my left foot.  The right boot went walking on my move to Wisconsin and hasn't found its way here yet.  Its mate waits patiently.
The problem is not just with my boot. I have a little glass box of single earrings, their partners having gone missing.  In the garage, I can find at least 5 left-hand gardening gloves.  Why is it always the right-hand glove that disappears?  Don't even get me started on . ..( READ MORE ) .

The winning congregation will receive a FREE CHURCH COFFEE HOUR as the prize.

SAFE GATHERINGS-ENSURING THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS
All congregations in the Presbytery are mandated by the Book of Order to write and maintain their own ethical boundaries policies. In September 2014, the Presbytery of Milwaukee approved its own Ethical Boundaries Policy and began using Safe Gatherings as mandatory training for Pastors and Christian Educators in our Presbytery. The Presbytery wants to both encourage and offer the use of Safe Gatherings for all paid staff and any volunteers working with children, youth, and/or vulnerable adults. For more information on how your church can utilize and access Safe Gatherings through the Presbytery's account for your workers, please contact Chris Halverson at the Presbytery office.
GET TO KNOW OUR PASTORS
WHO IS THIS?
While on vacation in South Africa, this pastor jumped a fence and was bitten by a penguin. Send your guess to Chris Halverson and the first person to guess correctly will be recognized next week when we give the correct answer.
FEATURED CONGREGATION
WHICH CHURCH IS THIS?
This congregation 's founding coincides with Welsh families' settlement in
Waukesha County in the 1840s. Before the current building was constructed in 1913, church members carved the entire basement out by hand, hauling out the fill with a stone boat and team of horses!  Over the many decades that followed, the congregation's physical and spiritual presence have been cornerstones of the community.  Answer is   here.
