Dear St. George Families,

The end of the school year is rapidly approaching. DK and K closing ceremonies were this past Tuesday. Today, we celebrated Mass with our 8th grade at their closing ceremony. We have had a great school year and we are already planning for an even better school year come August.

With change comes opportunity. At the end of the school year we also say farewell to some of our SGS staff. They have been great assets to our school and we pray for them and wish them well on their journey.

Mrs. Twal (K assistant) will be retiring to spend more time with her family and grandson.

Mrs. Reed (DK assistant) will be exploring other professional opportunities.

Mrs. Powell (1st Assistant) will return to the nursing profession.

Mrs. Wiseman (8th Math) will be spending more time caring for family members.

Mrs. Maille (8th ELA) will be staying home to raise her son Eli.

Also on the horizon is a summer interior face lift of the Administration Building.
Due to construction during the month of June the front office will be located in the library.

The school office will be closed from May 28th through June 1st and reopen on Monday, June 4th. Summer office hours will be 8:00am to 12:00 pm, Monday thru Thursday, and the office will be closed on Fridays.

God bless,

Jack Nelson

Introduction Letter from Mrs. Barbato
2018-2019 Resource Lab Teacher

I am excited to introduce myself as the new resource teacher at St. George School Lab. I hold a master's degree in regular and special education and have taught locally for over 10 years. My teaching experience includes one-on-one remediation, small group instruction and lead classroom teacher. My goal is to increase confidence in each student by using systematic teaching methods to help your student better apply learned skills to all subject matter. Maintaining the necessary communication with both the classroom teachers and parents is part of my focus. Regular communication will help to bridge the gap between the subject matter being taught in the classroom and the lessons in the Lab. I eagerly anticipate joining the St. George faculty and being instrumental in your child's learning experience. I look forward to meeting you all in August.

Sincerely,
Leah Barbato
