Mark Richey Boston Seaport projects shine

In this gorgeous Tishman Speyer photo at the top of the page, two past Mark Richey Woodworking projects representing both residential and commercial work appear side by side in the Boston Seaport District. Designed by SHoP Architects, the residential condo project, Pier 4, shown in more detail at right, featured Ipe rain screens, soffit, fascia and ha-ha wall as well as matching interior work, also shown at right. Turner Construction Co. was the general contractor.

For Goodwin, not shown, the Mark Richey team did interior millwork, including creating multiple elaborate and intricate multi-story staircases as well as paneling, reception and café work, and tables. The design was the work of Bargmann Hendrie + Archetype and construction was by Turner.

Autodesk project wins Architizer A+Firm Award

Congratulations to Utile for its Architizer A+Firm Award in the less than 25,000 square feet category for its design of Autodesk's space in Boston.

Mark Richey Woodworking was thrilled to work with general contractor Lee Kennedy Co. on the project. Mark Richey created a permeable collaboration pod out of ash wood. The pod takes its design from kiva circular meeting rooms. The Mark Richey team also brought to life arched passage wayss, also in ash, and provided banquette seating. The goal was depth and clean lines while also incorporating existing features.
