We love because He first loved us - 1 John 4:19

Dear School Families,

Our 8 th graders have been working hard all year on their major research projects on controversial and thought-provoking topics.  We call this project Proteus , a name taken from Greek mythology. Proteus knew all things past, present, and future and had the ability to change his shape.  Our students chose a topic and then through research and discussion with experts in that field developed their own opinion and made connections to their Catholic faith. Yesterday our students presented their projects to the faculty, parents and guests.  It was a very impressive process. The Class of 2018 did an excellent job, and we are so proud of their accomplishments. Their work is a testament to all their teachers. Congratulations!

Our annual Spirit Week is coming up.  The theme is centered on "LOVE" as we celebrate each student, honoring who they are and what they are destined to become.  The daily themes are:
  • Monday - "I LOVE my school".  It's crazy hair day in school colors.
  • Tuesday - "I LOVE being me".  Classroom activity.
  • Wednesday - "I LOVE my future".  College shirts with uniform bottoms. Career Day stations and motivational speaker.
  • Thursday - "I LOVE being healthy".  Sport Team shirt with uniform bottoms. Fitness Day.
  • Friday - "I LOVE my class".  Peace Builder shirt with jeans.  Field Day activities.
Tomorrow we will join our second graders as they celebrate receiving the Eucharist for the first time with our school community. We invite you to join us at 8:45 a.m.

In partnership,
Mrs. Fely Fajardo
Principal

STAR TESTING
Over the next three weeks, our K-8th grade students will be taking STAR tests for the final time this year.  This testing is one measure of academic growth for the year and provides important information for the teachers.  We ask that your child come to school on time, rested, and nourished so that they are in a good position to demonstrate their academic achievement for the year.

Please see your homeroom teacher for specific testing dates and times.

Parents & Our Catholic Identity
We each have different gifts from God and that has helped us together in this journey of marriage and parenthood. We bring each other closer to God by sharing our faith together through our actions towards one another and always bringing each other before God in prayer. We pick up from where the other left, we help each other by filling in for each other when necessary and mostly being patient with each other.
