Parish Retreat at Honey Creek
will be held May 25 - 27, 2018. Lodge rooms are $178 for weekend, Meal plan is $63 per person (8 and over) for 3 meals on Saturday and 2 meals on Sunday. Scholarships will cover all children who attend the Parish Retreat. Please contact the church office if you would like to make a reservation. Checks need to be sent to the church office not Honey Creek (please denote for Parish Retreat). Deadline to sign up is: May 20, 2018

Food Ministry is now up and running. Food Ministry is to offer meals to those in our congregation who have a loved one in the hospital, or in hospice, or who has died.

| Scholarship Donations Still Being Accepted |
It was great to see that our DR fundraising event and mission team were featured in this week's issue of From the Field, the weekly newsletter of the Diocese of Georgia. If you didn't see that issue, you can access it at this link.
Missioner Caroline Hiers, the granddaighter of John and Phyllis Hiers, gave a talk at that DR dinner and auction on the topic of "This Is Why I Want to Return to the Dominican Republic." Caroline is indeed returning to the mission field as a member of our June 2018 team. If you would like to read the text of her talk,
If you would like to contribute any amount to the scholarship fund for children enrolled in the Dominican Episcopal K-8 school where we work, please make your tax-deductible check payable to Christ Episcopal Church with "DR Scholarship" in the memo line by June 30. We will send all donated funds to that school during the first week of July for use in the 2018-2019 school year.
