Invitation to write and reflect
It is only September, but the Adult Education Committee is already planning for Nassau's 2019 Lenten Devotional. We are calling on all interested writers to share their reflections with the congregation during the Lenten season. The Committee will provide the Lenten lectionary verses for your assigned day from which you choose one to write a meditation.

Adult Education in September

This Sunday is the final September class focused on the exploration of Prayer, Profession, Preaching and Presence in worship.   This week the Adult Education class will hear from David A. Davis and Noel Werner as they describe the creative and prayerful process of shaping the worship life of our church.

There is also an on-going, In-Depth Bible Study of the book of Colossians with George Hunsinger which started on September 9 and is running through December 16.

The focus for our Adult Education classes in October is "Theologians for These Times." Join us in examining the life, times and meaning-making of four theologians who spanned the century leading up to today. Come and allow the witness and work of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Russel Botman, Ignacio EllacurĂa, and Reinhold Niebuhr to inform how our Christian witness might address the theological dissonance in our world.

See the  September Adult Education post  and the Adult Education page for the full listing of past and upcoming classes
