September 28, 2018

Hi all,
We're about one month into the school year. How's it going? We'd love to hear your stories and we'd LOVE to see your photos. Please share by sending to [email protected].

Brace yourselves, if you haven't already, for the election season. You've probably seen enough television commercials to last a lifetime, and getting more political information sent to you via this newsletter can seem annoying. PLEASE HANG IN THERE! We segregate the political stuff in this newsletter and send out ONE other email per week featuring a WEAC-endorsed "candidate of the week." If you're a political junkie, check out our PAC Facebook page and connect with the canvassing and other opportunities to help get members to vote.

And, if it's not confusing enough, we also will soon enter the RECERTIFICATION election season for K-12 schools. The voting period starts at noon on Halloween and ends November 20 - and right smack dab in the middle of that is the November 6 mid-term election!

One more thing: I'll be on vacation October 17 - 31. That's two weekly emails from Region 3 and while our terrific office staff will take care of putting together the meat of the newsletter, I'm looking for guest columnists to write this section. Got something you want to say? Let me know at [email protected] if you're interested.
