Pre-registration is required.
Screenings take less than 15 minutes and are open to men and women. Pre-registration is required. Participants are examined individually in a private environment and should wear loose-fitting clothes for the examination.
Dr. Wolf uses the latest treatment options for repairing hernias including minimally invasive robotic surgery. Screening participants will have an opportunity to enter to win an Amazon Dot. Light refreshments will be served.
Hernias are more common in males, but can affect women, too. It is caused by a strain on the abdominal wall caused by aging, genetic predisposition, heavy lifting, pregnancy, athletic activities, obesity, previous surgery, constipation, and chronic coughing.
Although some people do not experience symptoms, the most common indicators of a hernia can include nausea, pain, a bulge or obvious swelling in the abdominal area, or groin pain.
