Zone 5 members were in attendance at the USHJA Annual Meeting, presented by World Equestrian Center, Dec. 10-14 in San Antonio, Texas. Nearly 300 members from across the country worked together brainstorming new ideas, discussing programs, hearing guest speakers, asking questions and raising concerns all with a common goal of improving the sport. Zone 5 Member to Attend USHJA Gold Star Clinic in Wellington
|
Congratulations to Zone 5's Ponce Tidwell III, who will be attending the USHJA Gold Star Clinic in Wellington, Florida, December 27-30. Click here to read more.
The Gold Star Clinics will be live streamed and available on demand at EQSports.net beginning Dec. 28. USHJA members are eligible for a 50 percent discount on their subscription when they subscribe by entering EQUSHJA2018 in the Redeem Coupon section.
Each clinic will offer four days of horsemanship, stable management, mounted instruction and additional education from top athletes and horsemen including lead clinician Richard Spooner.

World Equestrian Center to Host New USHJA Young Hunter Pony Championships

The USHJA is pleased to announce that 2018 will bring the first Championships designed specifically for young hunter ponies, those 7 years old and under.
The USHJA Young Hunter Pony Championships will be held at the World Equestrian Center in Wilmington, Ohio, on September 30, 2018.
"We are excited that these Championships will celebrate the many exceptional young hunter ponies in our sport," said Oliver Brown, chair of the USHJA Young Hunter Pony Ad Hoc Committee.
"Our pony breeders are dedicated and committed to producing the very best hunter ponies, and we look forward to these championships providing them with a wonderful avenue for showcasing and developing that talent."

Zone 5 Members Attending USEF George H. Morris Horsemastership Training Session

Congratulations to Zone 5's
Alexandra Pielet of Highland Park, Ill., who is participating in the 12th annul USEF George H. Morris Horsemastership Training Session Jan. 5-7 in Wellington, Fla. Also congratulations to
Natalie Radosevich of Famington Hills, Mich., who will be attending the session as an assistant stable manager!
Participants in the session earned invitations from their performances in USEF marker competitions, through the USHJA Emerging Athletes Program National Training Session or by being selected from a competitive pool of wild card applicants.
