The Hand-Eye Coordination of Professional Baseball Players: The Relationship to Batting

Daniel M. Laby, David G. Kirschen, Usha Govindarajulu, and Paul DeLand

Our authors find that clinical assessment of eye-hand visual-motor reaction time can provide a useful metric for predicting a baseball player's batting performance.
Monocular Ghost Image Offset Thresholds: Dependant on Target Size and Ghost Image Relative Brightness

Anna B. Webster, Georgia M. Lyon, Kathryn A. Blowers, Gillian N. Roth, Jacinta A. Deacon, Cassandra L. Baan, and Andrew Carkeet

Ghost image offset detection thresholds in normal observers may influence vectographic stereoacuity measurements in normal observers and can be a useful way to assess monocular diplopia.
Constructing Item Banks for Measuring Quality of Life in Refractive Error

Himal Kandel, Jyoti Khadka, Eva K. Fenwick, Mohan Krishna Shrestha, Sadhana Sharma, Binita Sharma, Kopila Kafle, Anish Kharal, Raju Kaiti, Purushottam Dhungana, Bhagavat Prasad Nepal, Suman Thapa, Ecosse Lamoureux, and Konrad Pesudovs

Using the latest methods in survey development techniques, our authors created tools to assess patient reported outcomes for quality of life and refractive error in high, middle, and low-income settings.
Testability Study of the Titmus V3 Test in Pre-school Children

Bruce Alan Furr, David C. Musch, Chris A. Andrews, and Rachel Schumann

The Titmus V3 Vision Screener was inferior to standard testing methods when screening the preschool children for vision and near strabismus.
Interocular Asymmetry of the Ganglion Cell - Inner Plexiform Layer in Diabetic Retinopathy

Hyung Bin Lim, Woo Hyuk Lee, Young Joon Jo, and Jung Yeul Kim

Clinical OCT imaging in diabetic patients showed that the interocular difference in ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer thickness correlated well with the severity of diabetic retinopathy.
Comparative Evaluation of Foveal Avascular Zone on Two OCT Angiography Devices

Prachi Abhishek Dave, Kunal K. Dansingani, Asiya Jabeen, Ayesha Jabeen, M. Hasnat Ali, Kiran Kumar Vupparaboina, Hari Kumar Peguda, Rajeev Reddy Pappurru, Rupesh Agarwal, and Jay Chhablani

Comparing the foveal avascular zone from two different clinical OCT systems showed that measures were repeatable within a single instrument platform; however, there was generally poor agreement between instrument platforms. The authors offer a conversion method to generate comparable data between platforms.

Corneal Biomechanics in Unilateral Keratoconus and Fellow Eyes with a Scheimpflug-Based Tonometer

Sara Catalan-Lopez, Luis Cadarso-Suarez, Monica Lopez-Raton, and Carmen Cadarso-Suarez

The diameter of corneal applanation produced by the Corvis-ST tonometer can be used to differentiate eyes with incipient keratoconus from normal eyes.
Case Series: Corneal Epithelial Macrocysts in Scleral Contact Lenses Post-Penetrating Keratoplasty

Linda Trang Nguyen, David Yang, and Lee Vein

This report suggests that corneal epithelial macrocysts do not result in clinical complications that would prevent successful contact lens wear
Case Series: Bilateral Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachments in Atopic Dermatitis

Licia Tan, Shu Yen Lee, and Lynn Teo

Atopic Dermatitis is a dermatologic condition that can be associated with bilateral retinal detachments. This case report details the findings associated with this condition and its successful management.
