If any tickets are left following the Farmer's Market, tickets will be available at Simply Susan's, Tom Rodgers Flowers or online.

In 1692, Abigail Sibley, an accused witch fled Salem and the notorious trials. She moved west to what is now central Ohio. Taken in by a small tribe of Seneca Indians, legend has it she would heal the sick, enable crops to grow, help defeat enemies and thus became revered to the tribe. Through the years, failed crops, animal mutilations, strange creatures, ghostly figures and eerie lights and sounds that come from these woods gave rise to the legend its the vengeful spirit now known as the Seneca Witch.
As with legends, curiosity seekers would search the woods. Most disappeared. Those that survived talked of a strange cottage hidden in the woods but eventually they went insane. Archaeologists have found relics and ghost hunters report strange occurrences. To this day the woods are considered evil. So now, prepare yourself for a journey into fear. Are you ready to experience the horror that dwells in the woods and come face to face with the Seneca Witch!

The Tiffin Zombie Run is a fun 5K run or run/walk open to all ages. Try to finish the race with out having the zombies hidden throughout the course steal one of the sashes you will be wearing! Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the race will begin at 10 a.m. Refreshments will be provided and awards given for best dressed zombie and placement in race according to age.

Riehm Produce Farm is hosting their annual Barnyard Fun event on weekends until October 28th. Looking to have fun with loved ones this fall? Before you go with your family and friends to a scary house that will only give you nightmares, consider visiting a fun family setting where all your worries will disappear.
Farm generation gaps are closed when you step back in time with Riehm’s 2018 Dinosaur themed maze. Check out Riehm Produce Farm, located on State Route 53, where they bring you Barnyard Fun attractions which include: the pumpkin cannon, pig races, veggie launching, giant slide, goat walk, hayrides, corn maze, duck races and straw tunnels. Display Now Open at the Seneca County Museum:
70 Year Anniversary of Ohio's Mad Dog Killers Reign of Terror that Included 2 Innocent People in Seneca County
This year marks the 70th anniversary of a 14-day reign of terror that swept through Ohio where 6 innocent people were killed at the hands of two ruthless murderers. From July 9th, 1948 through July 23rd, Robert Daniels and John West, former inmates at the Mansfield Reformatory, went on a senseless killing spree. Sadly, these killings included two from Seneca County.
Rita Smith’s husband was one of those murdered and the Seneca County Museum has recently received an incredible collection if items from this event, courtesy of Rita’s family. This display will be available until late October, so make plans to see it soon. Viewing these items has a way of connecting you to that day, 70 years ago, and can give you a greater understanding of the pain and sadness that Rita suffered during that event, and for many years beyond that time.

Festival of Champions

Free event, open to the Public
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and the 50-year anniversary of the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City at the Festival of Champions. Meet elite athletes and coaches including Olympians, Paralympians and a member of the International Olympic Committee at the Heminger Center on Tiffin University’s campus.
- The first 600 youths completing the 3-Pillar summer program will receive a sport bag and a picture with an Olympian. Free water bottles and commemorative programs will be available for autographs.
- All medal winners from the YMCA Youth Games should arrive early for a group photo on stage with the Olympians.
