Students Participate in Self-Defense Seminar
By Anna Espinoza (2018)

Last Sunday afternoon, young women of the Veritas community came together for BELLATRIX, a three-hour self defense seminar. Master David Karstadt, a certified 8th Degree Black Belt with the International Taekwondo Federation, spoke to the class about sexual assault statistics, the four stages of assault, and the elements of a successful defensive strategy. Thanks to Mr. Ward, Mr. Dean, and the instructors and staff at AZ Kicks for bringing this wonderful program to our school. We hope to see it continue in the following years!
