There’s strength in numbers, such as 144 dances by 22 troupes for 32 hours on two days. The final digit is the cost: 0. INSITU Site-Specific Dance Festival transforms four public spaces into an outdoor stage this weekend. The second annual revue is at Hunters Point South Park, Gantry Plaza State Park, Queensbridge Park, and Socrates Sculpture Park.
These two artists won almost every major acting award in existence over their multi-decade careers. This film catches them during some of their finest moments. They sing. They tell jokes. One loses a cow, while the other gets in a fight. The Museum of the Moving Image presents  The Muppet Show: Julie Andrews and Rita Moreno  daily from Aug. 1 to Aug. 5 at 11 am .
It’s a festival of multi-day festivals! Movies, music, Muppets, dance, and even Grace Jones enjoy long Queens promotions this week. It’s a win-win situation with Hollywood flair. Enjoy features, web series, and music videos while also supporting the local independent film scene. The second annual  Kew Gardens Festival of Cinema  screens at Queens Museum and United Artists Midway 9 in Forest Hills from Aug. 3 to Aug. 12. In total, 110 films — selected from a pool of more than 350 submissions — will show.

Pat Dolan was fatally struck by a sedan as she walked to a Community Board 8 meeting in 2011. The tireless activist advocated for parks, libraries, post offices, and even safety ramps. Her legacy lives on via Pat Dolan Trail, which s pans the Van Wyck Expressway, connecting her Kew Garden Hills neighborhood to Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
