Okay, Halloween's over, the election's (mostly) settled and hopefully we can all relax a bit as we approach Thanksgiving.

This week's Book Focus is about Sister-Wife, a short incest tale, and a short newsletter.

The idea for this story popped almost fully formed into my head while I was pumping gas one day - a sister living as a "platonic spouse" with her brother, after she acted as surrogate for his deceased wife's remaining IVF embryos and then wanted to co-parent the twin girls she birthed.

Except, the two of them have been hiding a sexual relationship that first blossomed during the pregnancy, stopped when it became hard to avoid having the girls catch them, then resumed when their daughters went off to college -- until the day the girls come home early, catch them, and ask to join in (did you expect them to do anything else?)

In telling the story, I chose to tell it a bit out of order. Rather than starting with the brother and sister when they were 18 and working forward, I started the story with the sex where they get caught, then briefly tell the family's back story, before resuming the sex with the foursome. I think it reads better that way. What do you think?
