Research looks at consumer attitudes, emotions to beauty care products
 

A graduate student's report sheds new light on consumers' use and purchase of beauty care products. It is one of the first studies to publicly share information and terminology on the emotions and attitudes consumers have about beauty care products.



Trends and career pathways in the animal health industry are the focus of the upcoming seminar  "Animal Health Industry Insights"  from Kansas State University. It is 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 23 at K-State Olathe. 


Join Kansas State University,  BioNexus KC  and  BioKansas  for Kansas City One Health Day. The event is from 3-6 p.m. Nov. 1 at K-State Olathe. It features activities about a One Health approach to antibiotic stewardship.

Around the campus
 

K-State President Myers led a joint meeting of the Olathe campus' Board of Directors and Advisory Board, which is made of industry leaders in the Greater Kansas City area. The group brainstormed strategies for continuing to grow the university's impact in the region.


Ralph Richardson, dean and CEO, recently welcomed the Greater Kansas City Hotel and Lodging Association's Board of Directors to K-State Olathe. In his remarks, he highlighted the new hospitality management undergraduate degree completion program available via the Olathe campus and the need for ongoing collaboration with industry to meet workforce demands.



During BioNexus KC's annual dinner, Dr. Wayne Carter highlighted 1Data, a unique collaboration between Kansas State University and the University of Missouri - Kansas City that will help improve human and animal lives. The translational research project includes a data platform that will reduce time of drugs to market and reduce the number of animals tested.



On Sept. 19, more than 60 attendees listened to speakers from academics, industry and livestock production share insights about antibiotic stewardship in animal health. This event is part of the ongoing Regulatory Affairs Series. Mark your calendars for the next seminar on Dec. 6.
