Join us for a two-day DFARS training on June 19-20, 2018 hosted by CMMC and the Illinois Defense Network in the Chicago Metro Area. If you are a Department of Defense (DoD) contractor that processes, stores or transmits Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), you must meet the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) minimum security standards or risk penalties and losing your DoD contracts.

This event is co-hosted by the Industrial Union Council-AFL-CIO, Chicago Federation of Labor, Manufacturing Renaissance, and the University of Illinois at Chicago Great Cities Institute. This summit is the third in a regional series organized by the High Wage America campaign of The Century Foundation's Bernard L. Schwartz Rediscovering Government Initiative to develop bold ideas to make America a high-wage society again in manufacturing communities across the country.  The Century Foundation,  a national policy think tank that works on economic development and manufacturing policy, also published a  commentary  h ighlighting the successful model of the Investing in Manufacturing Communities Partnership (CMMC is part of the first cohort).
