Sermon: Julie Chatfield, Children's Ministry Director
SHIPWRECKED:
"When We're Powerless"

Scripture:
Acts 3:1-26 (CEB)

There are many storms we see others experience in their lives that cause us to feel powerless-the loss of a job, a loved one, their health, or a friend moves away. In those moments, we might feel incapable of finding resolution or knowing how to offer any hope. Yet, because of Jesus, we have the ability to help others in ways that we might never think possible. In our weakness, God's strength can do powerful things through us. What if we were to live our lives remembering that we have access to the same living Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead?
Vacation Bible School "Shipwrecked" - June 25 - 29
Our "Shipwrecked" Vacation Bible School starts next week - June 25th - 29th from 6:30 - 8:45 p.m.! Venture onto an uncharted island where kids are rescued by Jesus.  Anchor kids in the truth that Jesus carries them through every storm in life. They'll learn to hold onto God's promises when they are lonely, they worry, they struggle, do wrong, and feel powerless.

To register your child or to register to volunteer, follow this link.  It's also not too late to make monetary donations here!  For more information, contact the Peace Church Office 407-438-8947 or [email protected]. Thank you for your support!

Summer Worship Series Starts - July 1
PLAYLIST Theme: Our lives have a soundtrack; let's not just shuffle through.

Our lives have a soundtrack. Every peak, every low note, and every rhythm make up a part of who God created us to be. There is power within music, so that whenever we hear a certain song that resonates with us, it transports us to a specific time and place in our lives. Through music, we learn about ourselves, about life, and about how we should navigate through the ups and downs of our world. This summer, let's share with one another the special songs that inspire, encourage, and challenge us. Let's not just shuffle through our summer days; let's create a playlist worth listening to!

July 1st - "Fame and Fortune" - 1 Peter 3:3-4 - Theme: Taking off the mask to be ourselves (who God wants us to be) and not who the world wants us to be.

July 8th - "Teach Your Children Well" - I John 4:17-21 Theme: Our children are watching and listening.

July 15th - "Keep Your Head To The Sky" - Psalm 121; Proverbs 3:5-6 Theme: Holding on and finding strength to carry on in hard times.

July 22nd - "Make a Joyful Noise to the Lord" -Psalm 100

July 29th - "That I Would Be Good..." - Romans 8:28; Philippians 4:12-13; Psalm 100:5 Theme: Contentment in the midst of suffering, forgiveness, redemption, and receiving God's goodness.

Each Thursday night we'll meet at church from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., get dinner (please bring money for your meal), play some games, and have a Bible study. If you are a rising sixth grader, we hope you will join us for these fun summer nights.  We'll finish it off with a trip to "Main Event" on August 5 th .
