Dear Roslyn Families,
Please be advised that a staff member at Harbor Hill has tested positive for COVID-19.
Since our classes are held in contained pods, and students have no interaction with the school population at large, it has been determined that this case does not warrant a school building closure. At this time, every parent who has a child in the class where the staff member tested positive, or who is considered a potential close contact, has been notified. Our internal contact tracing is now complete.
In cooperation with the Nassau County Health Department (NCDOH), the class has been instructed to switch over to remote learning for the duration of the quarantine period which as of now is 14 days. If the quarantine time should change, the NCDOH will notify families and staff. I ask that any family who is advised to quarantine by the NCDOH continue to be diligent during the quarantine period to minimize their exposure to others.
Please also be advised that two students at the High School has tested positive for COVID-19. At this time, anyone who is considered a potential close contact, has been notified. Our internal contact tracing is now complete. It has been determined that this case does not warrant a school building closure.
We will continue to work with the NCDOH as they continue their external contact tracing investigation for off-campus gatherings, and we will continue to take all necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of our school community.
