Meet Rev. Tommy Ward!
St. Mark's welcomes a new senior pastor on July 1. We recently sat down with him to get to know him better, so you can too. Be sure to personally welcome Tommy on July 1 at the 9:15 a.m. welcome brunch and 10:30 a.m. worship service!
This week, the Senior High group is in Chicago having fun and being in ministry with several communities in the Chicago area. We can't wait to share some of our stories and memories with you at the Stockholders' Dinner in August!
Though the high school group is away doing missions, there are still activities for the middle school group to do this week. Meet Carrie and Kirsten at Go USA! to play Putt Putt starting at 6:00pm on Wednesday June 20th.
Vacation Bible School is next week. The youth will again be helping with this fun event. There are still opportunities to serve as a helper if interested. Sign up today!
There are a lot of other events coming up too! We will be hiking on June 30th (be sure to sign up on the bulletin board outside the youth center). July 4th is the first of our Meet @ events. We will be meeting as a group to watch the fireworks. Summer Sizzler is also coming up at the end of July (27th-29th) in Beersheba Springs - sign up sheets will be available on the bulletin board. This is always a favorite retreat for those who attend, so sign up or talk to someone about it if interested!
July Worship Schedule
Mark your calendars - we will have one combined worship service at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday during July.
Following the Church-Wide Welcome Brunch on July 1st, all Christian Education classes will be in session beginning July 8th, 9:15-10:15 a.m.

Monday - Thursday, June 25th - June 28th, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
St. Mark's VBS Decorating Team is in need of several things for VBS:
- Christmas trees of all sizes
- a Kayak, raft or fishing boat
- one or two tall tents
If you are willing to loan the following any of these items June 17-28, please contact Robyn Faulk or Rev. Martha Touchton.
Send in Your Rafting, Camping Photos for VBS!!!
Dear St. Mark's Church Family,
We would love for you to share your camping, hiking, or river rafting experiences and photos at Vacation Bible School. We will take these photos and display them in our St. Mark's Rolling River Riders hallway. Please email the photos to Martha Touchton at

Last Chance to Order St. Mark's VBS T-Shirts!
This year, our VBS T-Shirts are so awesome, we want to give everyone the opportunity to purchase them!
"Keep Cool and Paddle On" T-shirts are available for $5 each and must be pre-ordered and prepaid by June 8th. To order a t-shirt, stop by the VBS Table in the Narthex on Sunday morning, or follow these instructions to order online:
1) Select the t-shirt size needed as you complete online registration
2) After you have completed your online VBS Registration, return to the St. Mark's ONLINE DONATION page to pay for your t-shirt.
3) Pay St. Mark's UMC $5 for each t-shirt ordered.

Cedar Crest
Camp
Tennessee Conference Scholarships
and Camper Toiletries
St. Mark's has 20 campers attending this summer; we believe camp is a vital spiritual growth point for children and youth! We hope to collect funds to enable us to sponsor three $300 scholarships for new campers who would otherwise be unable to attend Cedar Crest. We will be collecting funds for these scholarships through the June 10th Coin Offering and every day of Vacation Bible School.
Scholarship campers often arrive without basic toiletries, so we are also collecting the following "Travel Size" items for donation to Cedar Crest
New Sunday School Class Forming at St. Mark's! - A new class for twenty-somethings is now forming at St. Mark's! Please contact Rev. Martha Touchton at martha@stmarkstn.org if you would like to be included in the class.
