Longtime Educator Willie Pyfrom is Living Proof That Music Inspires
We couldn't think of any better way to close out Teacher Appreciation Week than with a heartfelt meeting of educators.

Superintendent Fennoy traveled to  Highland Elementary School last week to meet music teacher Willie Pyfrom, a 54-year (!!!) veteran educator. The two had more in common than a dedication to children, however. They both graduated from  Florida A&M University and played in the famed Marching 100 band!

"Fifty years of service to  the School District of Palm Beach County , I mean, that's just amazing...and to see his energy and dedication to those kids in that elementary school band room at Highland Elementary, it's just inspiring," Dr. Fennoy shared. "The music and the arts are just an integral part of everything we do here in Palm Beach County."
