Bradley Funkhouser
Information Technology Specialist
Bradley started with Fence & Deck Connection in 2012 right after graduating high school. His first position with the company was working in our yard, where he helped load trucks, fabricate fences and ran a forklift. He was eventually promoted to Inventory/Operations Support and received his Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering from AACC in 2016. In 2018, he was promoted again to IT Specialist and will graduate from Frostburg this May with a Bachelor of Science electrical engineering.

Bradley has a knack for figuring things out no matter what the subject or problem. He is self-motivated and highly driven. He never shies away from a challenge, in fact he has more of a tendency to attack it head on, always coming up with a solution that exceeds everyone's expectations. He is a rare breed of person that is just as comfortable and capable working on a computer as he is swinging a hammer in the field. He is truly one of the smartest people I know and we are extremely fortunate to have him working with us."

The Headmaster for the
Severn School in Severna Park, MD reached out to us to help add a larger entertainment area for school functions to his home on the Severn School Campus.
It was important that this new space included low maintenance materials so the upkeep would be minimal. He choose premium Azek deck boards, powdercoated aluminum railing with cable rail infills. He also wanted platform steps which are larger than regular steps, and lend themselves to double as additional seating.
Before:
Concrete steps off the back door leading directly down to the lawn with no outdoor gathering area off the ground.
After:
Nice large deck provides for a beautiful gathering area off the ground, on the same level as the first floor of the home, continuing the entertaining space from the inside out.
The HeadMaster chose Azek Harvest Oak deck boards. Azek premium deck boards are beautiful and have a 30 year warranty. They stand up to harsh weather, resists mold, midew & moisture damage. They also resists stains, scratches & fading. Low maintenance means no annual sealing & staining!
He also chose white Ultralox Colonial Handrail w/ stainless steel cable. Cable railings use horizontal or vertical cables in place of spindles, glass or other options. Since the cables are much thinner than pickets, they are ideal for decks or terraces that can offer panoramic views.
The HeadMaster is very pleased with the way the new deck turned out!
