ICYMI: South Dakota Legend Honored in Watertown
On Tuesday, May 28, state and local dignitaries, business leaders, friends and family, arrived to Watertown to honor a local legend, John Calvin. A prominent businessman who's synonymous with economic development, Calvin came to South Dakota in the 1980s after falling in love with pheasant hunting in South Dakota.

Calvin served as the commissioner of GOED, served on the Board of Economic Development, invested in Lake Area Technical Institute and so much more to see South Dakota grow into it's full potential and beyond.

On May 28, ground was broken at the industrial park that bears his name. It will forever be a place for future businesses and industries to grow in the Watertown community. From everyone at GOED, we thank and congratulate Mr. Calvin for his commitment to South Dakota!
