Come Grow with Us
Master Gardener George Mroch is visiting Eastview Elementary throughout the Spring as part of their Come Grow with Us, Ag in the Classroom program.

George has been planting at Eastview for about 5 years now. A few years ago, he suggested going from just planting marigolds to doing hydroponics. He brings in different colored lights and aquariums and infuses science into gardening.
Badger Community Education
Outdoor Education
Learning doesn’t always need to take place in the classroom. The 50th Annual Lake Geneva Schools' Outdoor Education Program brought lessons to life for sixth graders during the week of April 23.

Students spent two full days in the great outdoors at YMCA Camp Maclean in Burlington. The program provided students with a variety of unique learning experiences. These experiences involved a hands-on approach to learning about human interaction and socialization, as well as a laboratory experience in working with ecology, nature, and outdoor skills.

A Message from Geneva
Lakes Family YMCA
The Geneva Lakes Family YMCA would like to thank the Lake Geneva School District for the opportunity to provide Y BASE to the families during the school year.  This licensed before and after school childcare program was developed by the YMCA to meet a need that the administration identified at the elementary level. It is with our combined efforts that this program was introduced providing a safe, convenient and nurturing environment for students attending Central Denison, Eastview and Star Center Elementary Schools.

We thank the administration for recognizing and filling this growing need. Providing resources, opportunities and programs that allow our children to learn, thrive and develop is paramount. We look forward to the 2018-2019 school year as we strive to make a positive difference together. To learn more about Y BASE please visit GenevaLakesYMCA.org/ybase or call 262.248.6211.
