We learn some of life's most important lessons from family. Family includes those people in your life who bring out the best in you, laugh with you, celebrate with you, and dream with you. They love you beyond measure and are not always related by blood.

Our program does not end when a family graduates from one of our housing programs. Each month families are invited to attend a graduate meeting. Lunch and childcare is provided by volunteers from congregations hosting the meetings. Topics have ranged from coupon clipping to emotional health. Our mission to help families return to independence demands that we continue to assist them as they strive to build better habits. But foremost, they remain surrounded by people who accept them and love them where they are.

At our most recent meeting Judy Kelly from East Cobb United Methodist Church presented a program on budgeting. After the class one of our moms posted this on our graduate facebook page:

During this time of year we remember lessons passed along to us by a father, uncle, brother or mentor. It may have been how to tie a knot, best fishing spots, or the love of a sports team.
