NAMIC-Mid-Atlantic  held its "From Film to Festivals" event in early June at the NCTA headquarters. Rob Stoddard, SVP, Industry & Association Affairs, NCTA - The Internet & Television Association hosted the event and Michelle Ray, acting executive director, Walter Kaitz Foundation moderated the panel.  Sangeetha Subramanian, client engagement manager, Nonprofit HR and NAMIC-Mid-Atlantic president organized the extremely successful discussion. 
  
NAMIC-Denver held their "Emotional Intelligence for Diversity and Inclusion" event on June 7 featuring speaker Donnylane Ambrosine, professor, Colorado State University and publisher of CULTURS magazine.

Beyoncé proteges Chloe X Halle performed "The Kids Are Alright," promising to "bless you with some culture." Lena Waithe took home the Trailblazer Award. Zazie Beetz simply told everyone how to say her name properly. And, superstar Tiffany Haddish hosted the whole damn thing, because she's ready. These were the Blackest Golden Popcorn Awardsfests in history.

Juneteenth is a holiday celebrated on June 19 that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. Across the country, the day is marked with events and parades.
