Looper 2.0 Ridership is UP
|
With 8 months of service accomplished by the
Looper 2.0, riders are flocking to the revised transportation option that now connects more destinations over a larger geographic area with extended service hours. In May 2019, there was a 175% increase compared to May, 2018. The new service's free fare and a more consistent and frequent route has successfully increased ridership.
The success of the program, as well as that of the Cross-Bay Ferry and Bike Share demonstrates that transportation consumers are interested in utilizing more ways to get around than simply taking their car everywhere they need to go.
