This series features former FCCGE seminary intern Carolyn Lawrence, Associate Pastor of First United Church of Oak Park, Rev. OK, now that we have your attention, we are seeking a full-sized, working refrigerator/freezer
as a donation to keep food fresh for our dear PADS guests this summer during our transitional construction

Visual Arts Ministry
Main Gallery

There is a new exhibit in the Main Gallery, this one by Sophie George from Wheaton College. Sophie's work has been influenced by the six months she spent in rural India last year, a place she experienced as one of "coinciding stimulation and paradox, a lush and vibrant landscape and environmental decay." Her work began with sketches and notes and photos and evolved into beautiful mixed media paintings and textile designs in which she explores coinciding forms, harmony and dissonance, flatness and depth, density and breathing space. This is one exhibit you don't want to miss. Read more about Sophie.
