After two days of voting, the results showed Sahilee Waitman, 21, a junior  economic and finance  major from Amsterdam in the Netherlands, had been elected student body president along with other executive officers.

Message from the Dean
Contrary to the opinion of some, I am not a total social media dinosaur. No, I do not have a Facebook account; I am content with LinkedIn and Instagram. We ask our students to join the LinkedIn network; I have over 1,000 contacts, most of which are current and former students. Instagram is another story. 

Student Spotlight: Dylan Hooper
My name is Dylan Hooper, and I was born and raised in Mobile, AL. I am a senior accounting student that loves fishing and being around the water. Prior to college, I started a landscape business that I grew and managed for several years. Now I am an intern at Crow Shields Bailey PC.

The Alumni Fellow Program formally recognizes Mitchell College of Business alumni whose personal lives, professional achievements, and contributions to society exemplify the highest ideals of the College and the University. The program encourages Fellows to interact with students and faculty.

Stacy Sergeant Continues the Family Jaguar Line
Stacy Lynwood Sergeant considered only the University of South Alabama when he graduated from Mobile’s Baker High School. That’s because he wanted to follow in the footsteps of other family members who became Jaguars.

Dr. Reid Cummings joined finance and real estate professors from Alabama, Auburn, and UAB as a panelist at ACREcom 2019, the University of Alabama Center for Real Estate’s annual commercial real estate conference. Topics included changing real estate

Snap Shots
As part of the 2019 Mitchell Scholar International Experience study abroad program, Dean Wood and Dr. Ermanno Affuso took several students to Europe. Students visited Paris, Rennes, CAEU, Norway and Toulouse, France.
