Information Sessions, Campus Tours

Learn about all RVCC has to offer, and how to enroll for Fall Semester classes, by attending an Information Session in June. The College is holding special sessions for adult students, as well as those interested in its Cosmetology and Esthetics (Skin Care) career programs.

Fall Semester classes begin August 28.

Jumpstart College Program

As a high school junior or senior, you can earn college credits with RVCC's Jumpstart College Program. Designed specifically with you in mind, this early college program allows you to jumpstart your college education, smoothly transition from high school to college-level classes, and earn credits along the way.

New Reward Program

RVCC is launching a new program to reward students who accelerate their path toward graduation by carrying a full-time load of classes. As part of a new Reward Program beginning this fall, students who earn at least 24 college credits at RVCC during the Fall, Winter and Spring Semester can save $500 toward a summer course.

New Adult Fast Track Program

Learn more about RVCC's new Adult Fast Track program at a special Information Session, June 18, 7 p.m., in the Event/Conference Center at RVCC's Branchburg campus.

RVCC's Adult Fast Track program offers working adults the opportunity to earn an associate degree in two years by taking classes in the evening and online. After completing the program, students will be able to seamlessly transfer to Ramapo College to pursue a bachelor's degree.

Instant Decision Day

Interested in attending RVCC for the Fall Semester or a Summer Session? Sign up for Instant Decision Day on June 20 in the RVCC Event/Conference Center. In one day you'll be able to take all the steps necessary to apply, learn about financial aid options, and schedule an appointment to register for classes. You can attend any time from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; however, you are encouraged to register in advance and leave plenty of time to complete the admissions process.

Honors College Students Present Independent Study Projects 

Twenty-one students from RVCC's Honors College presented their independent "Capstone Course" projects during a full-day symposium in May.

Project topics ran the gamut of subjects--from "Analyzing the Frequency Spectrum of Guitar Strings," to "Financial Literacy for Life: Important Considerations," to "Cults and the Abuse that Sustain Them."

Students Honored at Community College Scholars Celebration

RVCC students Michael Allers of Frenchtown and Alec Wrana of Bernardsville were among the 38 talented community college students recently honored by the New Jersey Council of County Colleges at its 25th annual New Jersey Community College Scholars Celebration.

Service Learning Leadership Award

Cosmetology students Helen Holton of Bound Brook and Cori Fonzetti of Basking Ridge have received the RVCC Service Learning Leadership Award for a yearlong project that engaged Cosmetology and Esthetics students in learning about domestic violence.

President's Volunteer Service Award

Several RVCC nursing students were honored at last month's Nursing Pinning Ceremony for receiving the President's Volunteer Service Award for their exemplary service to the community.

Lisa Fortunato, Ewa Kiedrowska, Viktoriia Pajewski, Blazej Rozanski and Emily Unger received the President's Volunteer Service Bronze Award for their project, "Hospice 101," and for assisting the service learning community partner, Compassionate Care Hospice in Branchburg Township.  

Brittany Halverson, Lisa Dorflinger, Craig Simon, Joseph Scangarella, and Nikole Angelone received the President's Volunteer Service Bronze Award for their project, "Young Child Safety to Proactively Prevent Abduction, Abuse and Preventable Injuries," and providing service to the service learning community partner, South Branch Reform Preschool in Hillsborough Township.  

Glen Cole received the President's Volunteer Service Gold Award for completing 1,000 hours of community service to the RVCC Food Pantry.

Summer of Space

The RVCC Planetarium is bursting with excitement this summer, with offerings that include a special Moon Day event in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing, a Harry Potter laser show, and a program that celebrates humanity's great accomplishments in the space race.
