Easter Break began yesterday following morning classes. A number of boys are home for the weekend, while those remaining on campus have a variety of fun activities from which to choose including an Easter egg hunt on the lawn after brunch on Sunday.

COLLEGE ACCEPTANCES: Its been an exciting week as m ore seniors received college acceptances. On Wednesday, Franck Germain learned of his acceptance to Harvard, Brown, NYU and Dartmouth. Taku Endo was accepted to Trinity University and Ryan Amer to VCU. Jaab Veskijikul was accepted to Middlebury and College of William & Mary. A complete list of all acceptances will be published April 2.

FOOTBALL NEWS:
Blue Ridge Head Football Coach Tim Thomas is stepping down after four seasons at the helm for the Barons.  Replacing Coach Thomas as Head Varsity Football Coach is current Offensive Coordinator Jimmy Wills.  Mr. Wills has been with Blue Ridge the past two seasons and played a major role in the 2016 State Championship campaign. For more on this story, click here

ATHLETICS:
Varsity lacrosse beat Woodberry 9-3 on Friday, March 23 and March 24 they beat St. Andrew's Episcopal 12-10. This week, they had a win over FUMA 18-3 in a home game on Tuesday. This Tuesday's JV Lacrosse game was postponed due to rain. 
 
Baseball hosted Eastern Mennonite on Tuesday, winning 5-3. Perry King '19 scored the first home run for a Baron on the new Carl Frye Field! For game photos, click here.
 
The golf team played one match so far this season - a loss to Covenant. The team's medalist was Charlie Bell '20. The match also featured Ryan Wills '21 and Hibiki Sakurai '21.

CHARACTER ED FORMS: Krystle Gee sent an email this week explaining to parents that the permission forms that had been completed at registration were lost due to a software error.  Unfortunately, we ask that you resubmit the forms by April 3 . Again, our apologies for this issue and we appreciate your cooperation.
