SermonPLAYLIST: " Keep Your Head To The Sky" -  Markita Cooper-Blackwood & Robert Blackwood

Songs "Keep Your Head To The Sky" & "Devotion"

What helps us walk by faith during life's challenges? Losses, mistakes, unwelcome changes, and all sorts of troubles can wear us down. When life's struggles cloud our focus, may we find clarity, renewed hope, and strength as we look up, trust God, and keep our heads to the sky.

Summer Back to School Blessing Drive
- Deadline August 5
Throughout the month of July, we are committing to collect 200 backpacks to be distributed to families in need at our partner school John Young Elementary School, as well as additional public schools in our local area. Whether you find yourself in the next month doing some back-to-school shopping, or if those days are long over for you and you miss the joy of picking up a new backpack for a child, include the purchase of one or two backpacks in your travels over the next month.  You can drop them off in the bins located in the hallway.  We'll also be setting up a small "store" for families in need in order to shop for school supplies at a very discounted rate. So feel free to donate a gift card or two, or make a monetary donation for school supplies, and support our effort to help be a blessing to others when they head back to school in August.  The deadline for the collection will be Sunday, August 5 th.

*Maybe you could encourage your co-workers or office to participate in the collection?

*Are you in a small group or class?  Let's see which team collects the most backpacks and school supply funds!

*Want to be a part of the fun?  Volunteer to help with our School Supply Store at the beginning of the school year.

Summer Peace Kids Zone Worship
The Kids Zone is in full swing this summer.  We are always glad to have kids join us in Classroom A during the 9:30 a.m. service following the Children's Story and immediately at the 11:00 a.m. service for Bible lessons, songs, crafts, and activities that support the message shared in worship. Be sure to spend time in the car on the way home sharing with each other about how going to church impacts your week.  You can stay connected with what's happening by signing up for the weekly Kids Zone E-newsletter with all of the upcoming activities and fun.  It also includes pictures from our exciting events.  Simply mark on your white worship attendance card that you'd like to stay connected with the Children's Ministry E-newsletter and we will get you signed up.  For more information contact Children's Ministry Director, Julie Chatfield [email protected] .
