Week 8 of the 20-21 School Year
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.

Greetings MLS Families,

What a beautiful day for an Outdoor Vendor Fair! Thanks to the Cougar Parent Club for providing a safe and early holiday shopping experience.

Report cards for Quarter 1 have been mailed out, along with being posted on Blackbaud. If your child is a remote learner, a Cougar mask was included in the envelope with their report card as a gift from our Cougar Parent Club. All hybrid students were given a mask in school and have been showing their cougar pride daily. Virtual Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences are scheduled for Tuesday, November 24th. Information regarding sign up will be shared via email.

Parents please remember to check your email and blackbaud messages frequently. We want to stay in communication with you! Parents, we need your support in stressing to your child the importance of remaining on camera throughout the day, for each and every class. If your student is not on camera, or not in the room, they are not engaged. We are also seeing an increase in zoom hackers. Unfortunately the hackers are internal, meaning our students are sharing classroom zoom codes. If this behavior continues, we will have to report to Zoom so IP addresses can be traced. Lastly, students must submit work using their blackbaud account. Students should not email an assignment that a teacher instructed them to submit on blackbaud.

Your school pictures are available for pickup at MLS. If your child is remote (Cohort D) and you ordered school pictures, an email was sent to your child letting them know. Senior Parents, an email was sent by Ms. Papatsos to our seniors that purchased a ring, letting them know that they can pick up their junior class ring. You can stop by MLS between 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday - Friday to obtain pictures or ring.

The First Ever Martin Luther School Virtual Soiree will be held this coming Thursday, November 12th (8pm-9pm). We are planning a fun and interactive event. Please view the attached information below. Funds from the Soiree will go towards our Cougar Relief Fund. Please register to attend.

 Reminders
  • Students must sign up for at least one college fair. There are many links posted on the Counselor Corner on Blackbaud.
  • Students must submit the daily health screening sent out by Mr. Fredericksen each morning.
  • Zoom codes can be found on Blackbaud on each class page. In the event a teacher is absent, an assignment will be posted on Blackbaud under their class page.

Have a great week,
Mrs. Younghese
