Women in Alternative Debt (WIAD)
Women in Alternative Debt was founded by female leaders at THL Credit, Liberty Mutual Investments, Bain Capital Credit and Kirkland & Ellis LLP. We have been active participants in women’s networking groups and conferences across alternative investments. It seemed that private debt was always a secondary topic at these events. When we first talked about creating a separate networking group in 2016, we wanted to create a space for women within the growing and standalone private credit asset class to discuss investment opportunities and career development. Since hosting our first networking event in 2017, we have brought together women throughout the industry and seek to continue providing a forum for women in alternative credit through sponsored events and partnerships.
