We are excited to see the lake ice out. We've had snow on the ground and a frozen lake since the 3rd week of October and we are ready to see open water. This spring will begin our 33rd season in Ignace. From 2 excited inexperienced 'kids' with a small family we are now sage grandparents with experience and a youth like anticipation of another season. We look forward to seeing our many friends and guests as we strive to provide the best remote fishing experience in Canada.
Our winter projects are complete. The Beaver has had its dash painted along with regular winter maintenance and the Otter had a government mandated wing update along with the usual off season care. Everything is ready on the airplane end.

Our new Seseganaga camp attendant, Mike, is ready to fly in next week. Ted is packed and ready for Metionga again. Randy and Tim arrive this weekend. We are busy prepping things at the camps over the next few weeks and we anticipate everything will be a go for our first groups on May 18th.

We just took delivery of a trailer full of brand new 9.9 Mercury 4 stroke motors! Check the  Ignace Outposts Facebook Page to find out where they are going.
As many are planning last minute details in preparation for an Ignace Outposts fishing adventure, we remind you that this summer our government  no longer allows the visitor incentive tax rebate . Our industry is striving to get this back but as of this year we will have to charge you the full 13% tax.

We have heard of no restrictions at the border regarding food being brought into Canada for this summer. For specifics regarding visiting Canada, check this Canada Border Services Agency page.

We remind you to check that your Outdoors Cards is valid. You can renew the card and purchase your licence online before you arrive. We do not issue them in our office any more.

While you are dabbling online, please be sure to register with us before your trip. Your group reservation id number is required. It will be on your deposit receipt or contact Karen by email or phone 807-934-2273.
There are still some openings at various cabins through the summer so if your summer schedule does not yet include a fishing trip with Ignace Outposts please be sure to contact us and we will be more than happy to get you set up.

In anticipation of your trip plan to try Brad's Real Simple but Real Tasty Walleye Tacos as posted on our blog.
