Hello Parents,

I wanted to reach out as a follow up to Pastor Jeff’s email from yesterday. All regular MKids programming is cancelled at this time until March 31st. However, we can still worship together as a church family online. Clubhouse children will also be able to continue learning what it looks like to Follow the Leader and Zone children will continue their journey exploring Forgiveness in God’s Word. To ensure we stay on track for our March lessons you will receive two emails from us this week. This email with “What we learned on Sunday” and then another email on Friday for what we’ll be learning on Sunday, March 22nd.

Please know that we are continuing as always to pray for you and your children. Don’t hesitate to reach out if there are specific prayer needs for your family. And know that we will be gathering right alongside each of your families as we sing together, pray together and hear God’s word together via live stream this coming Sunday morning. I am so thankful for this gift of technology that can keep us all connected in worship during this time.

Many Blessings,
Vicki
6 Homeschooling Tips for Amateurs

We’re  living in wild times , friends! For most of us, that means we’re having to postpone regularly-scheduled life until further notice. It also means that many parents will be responsible for overseeing their kids’ online learning for the foreseeable future.

If you’ve ever tried to help your kid with their homework, you may be legitimately terrified by the idea of days on end of at-home schooling. But here’s the deal—you can do it. You really can! And maybe, just maybe, you can enjoy some of it, too.

Here are a few quick tips on how to make the most of your at-home learning experience. (Special thanks to homeschool mama Maggie Adams for sharing these incredibly practical and helpful tips with us.)

What We Learned On Sunday
Week 3: MATTHEW 5:1-2; 23-24
Jesus Teaches on Forgiveness
Life App: Forgiveness
DECIDING THAT SOMEONE WHO HAS WRONGED YOU DOESN'T PAY
Remember This:
"Put up with one another. Forgive one another if you are holding something against someone. Forgive, just as the Lord forgave you."
COLOSSIANS 3:13, NIRV
Say This:
Take the first step to forgive others.
Do This: Bed Time
God says that loving others means making the first move. Whether you need to be forgiven or whether you need to forgive, if something is wrong between you and someone else, you need to take a step to make things right. You might even say that choosing to make peace with others through forgiveness is one of the best gifts you can give God! Pray that God will help you make the first move to forgive.
