Hosted by the Wilson Education Foundation, enjoy an evening at the ballpark and see Wilson students recognized for their academic achievements as part of the pregame festivities. General admission tickets are available to Wilson parents, students, and community members at a discounted rate of just $2 each, providing an affordable, family-friendly evening!

Or for $30, enjoy the Deck Picnic with an all-you-can-eat buffet and reserved seating from 6-8:30 pm.

Student, Staff, And Parent Survey
We want to hear from you!  Let's work together to make the Wilson School District even better!

We are excited to announce our first-ever Wilson School District Student, Staff, and Parent Survey.  Through the survey, we would like you to share your thoughts on the District's climate. We will use the feedback received to ensure that our District offerings meet the needs of our students, parents, and staff, and are consistent with the District's goals.

Your feedback is essential to the Wilson School District, and we appreciate your thoughtful responses. Please know that all responses will remain anonymous, and will only be reported to the district as a whole. 

This survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete and is open to all Wilson students grade 4-12, parents, and staff members. The deadline to participate is Friday, May 25, 2018.

End of School-- Important Dates!
There will be an early dismissal on Friday, May 25 AND Friday, June 8.  Secondary students will be dismissed at 11 am, and elementary students will be dismissed at 11:45 am.  There will be no school for students or staff on Monday, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day.

Wilson West Students Donate Pillowcases
Our Wilson West Middle School's Creative Textiles students made over 50 pillowcases to donate to the Ryan's Cases for Smiles organization. These pillowcases will be given to the Reading Hospital pediatric floor to help brighten the stay for patients. Great work!

Digital Citizenship Tips!
Need a " Cell Phone Contract" for your tween? Do you want help in supporting kids with  managing constant distractions? The high school held "A Conversation about Digital Citizenship & Our Kids" presentation on May 15, 2018, in the library.  This presentation has resourc es for 
supporting parenting in the 21st-century.     The resources will help you support our kids in our ever-more connected world.

Annual Wilson Games
We are excited to announce that the Annual Wilson Games will be held  TOMORROW, May 18 from 9:30 am- 1:30 pm, in the Wilson High School Gymnasium (new location due to predicted inclement weather). This annual event consists of three activities: running, softball throw, and jumping. The events allow students of all ability levels and ages to participate and have fun! "Peer buddies" join our athletes to assist with each event, while friends and family cheer the students on. It is a great day for all to enjoy! 


Wilson Color-A-Thon Family 3k/5k Run/Walk
Come out on Wednesday, June 6 at 6:00pm!  All ages are welcome. Event starts and finishes at the Whitfield Elementary playground; the entire course is contained to the Wilson HS campus.  Register here .  The cost of $30 per person includes white tee, dye pack, and crazy shades. ALSO, we have plenty of room for family friendly VENDORS & BUSINESSES at our Finish Line Party - come promote your wares!  Please visit www.WilsonSD.org/WHSA   for details & registration. Important Information for Our Graduating Seniors
We can't believe that it is almost time to say goodbye to the Class of 2018!  There is a lot of important information for our graduates available here.  In addition, here is some additional important information for our graduates and their families to be aware of:



Baccalaureate:
Baccalaureate is organized by our student-led Connect club and will be held in the auditorium on June 2 at 8:00 am. 

Cap and Gown Party:
Parents of seniors are busy planning the annual Cap and Gown party for the class of 2018. Please click here to learn more about the evening!

Bulldog Summer Blast Registration 
As summer approaches, we are excited to offer Bulldog Summer Blast, a fun, 6-week program taught by Wilson teachers to help foster learning through the summer months! This program, for kids who completed kindergarten through 3rd grade, will help diminish the "summer slide" and offer continued academic opportunities while having fun outside. Camps and Clinics

Free Water Polo Clinic
Do you like to swim? Ever thought about playing water polo?  The Wilson Water Polo Coaching Staff and current players will be hosting a  FREE WATER POLO CLINIC   Saturday June 2, 2018 . This program is open to ALL boys & girls from 1st through 8th grade! Join us at the Roy G. Snyder Natatorium for a fun morning of skills, drills, and games! This is a wonderful introduction to the sport of Water Polo. 

The skills sessions will run as follows on  June 2nd
9:00-10:00 am 5th-8th grade students
10:00-11:00 am 1st through 4th grade students

Field Hockey Intramural Program
The Wilson Field Hockey Coaching Staff and current players will again be hosting a FREE field hockey intramural program May 29- June 1.  This program is open to all girls currently in 1st-6th grade.  Join us on Bulldog Field, from 3:45 - 4:45 pm each day, for fun games and age-appropriate drills, to introduce the sport to new players and improve those with more developed skill.  For more information, please view the Flyeror contact Coach Kim Underwood.  To register, please Click Here.

Wilson Athletic Camps & Clinics | Registration is NOW Open!
The Wilson School District offers to residents of the Wilson School District, sports camps/clinics designed to give students the opportunity to improve skills, enhance techniques, and enjoy their sport or activity. Wilson coaches staff the camps, along with Wilson athletes, and sometimes special guest staff.  Each camp has a size limit (min/max).  Registration for all camps is first come - first served.
Please be advised, if you register a child for a camp after it has been filled, you will be notified and your child placed on a waiting list.  Please visit the

Wilson Theater Company Announces 2018 Summer Theater Camp
The Wilson Theater Company is excited to announce that the Wilson Summer Theater Camp will return July 2018!  Wilson teachers, Jody and Karyn Reppert, along with fellow staff members and students, will lead elementary and middle school students in exciting and creative camps this summer!  Camps are being held July 16-19 and July 23-26,and are available for both elementary and middle school students.  For more information, please view the Camp Flyer, and to register, please visit www.wilsontheater.org.

Bradley Mayer Memorial Running Man 5k
The 2 nd Annual Bradley Mayer Memorial Running Man 5k will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in Shillington.  The proceeds for this event will be used to create a scholarship in memory of this late Wilson High School & Kutztown University cross country captain.  For more info, click here
Memorial Day Parade
Hey, kids! Want to be in the Memorial Day Parade? Put on your patriotic gear and come walk with your favorite librarians from the Sinking Spring Library! Find us on Elizabeth Ave at 9:30 am on Monday May 28; parade starts at 10 am. Parade will end on the VFW grounds (across from the library) for a ceremony. All ages are welcome!

 

Aquatics 
Open Swim Weekend!
Looks like it might be a washed out weekend! No better place to spend a rainy  Saturday or  Sunday than the Wilson Pool! We are offering TWO open swims this weekend from  12:00-3:00 pm. 

Join us  Saturday from  12:00-3:00 pm for a Dive In Movie!  The featured movie is The Spongebob Square Pants Movie.  Cost is $5.00/ swimmer and the snack bar will be open.  Sunday will be a regular open swim from 12-3 pm and cost is $3/swimmer.   Additional information on open swims throughout the summer can be found here .

Summer Swimming Lessons
The Wilson School District Summer Learn To Swim is now open for registration. Summer swim lessons will be offered every  MondayTuesday &  Wednesday morning throughout the summer months.  To register, please visit the Aquatic Website.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Course
Did you miss the opportunity to certify as a lifeguard this spring? Wilson Aquatics will be offering a blended learning class  June 1 , 2, 3, and  June 8 , 9, 10, 2018.  Cost is $275 per student, and will include American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.   *This class will require preparation by the student PRIOR to the course start date.  Please visit the website for further information.

 

Community Libraries

Conestoga Days
On Wednesday, May 23 at 7 pm, a program entitled "Conestoga Days - A Working Man in Colonial Pennsylvania", presented by Cary Shaner, will be at the West Lawn-Wyomissing Hills Library, 101 Woodside Ave., West Lawn. This is a program for students from 4th grade and up, as well as, adults. FREE and light refreshments will be served.
