The Annual Giving Campaign is made up of yearly gifts from parents, faculty and staff, the Board of Trustees, grandparents, alumni, and friends of the school. Each year is a separate drive designed to meet the

- Include what you would like written on the dedication page
- Payments are done through the office
- Pricing for both ads and Dedication Pages follow as seen below:
Full Page Ad: Up to 10 photographs and a message - $100
Half Page Ad: Up to 5 photographs and a message - $50
Quarter Page Ad: One image and a message - $25

Great News And Important Deadlines
From Great Escapes!
A sincere heartfelt thank you to everyone that made Great Escapes a huge success! It is with your time, talents, treasures, and financial support that we as a community, raised $211,056.00 and CCDS will now have its very own bus!
A Great Escapes newsletter with some other fliers was mailed on Tuesday. For your convenience, there is also a form that you can complete and return to Denise Hunt with PAYMENT attached for a few things that are still available if you missed them at the auction or were unable to attend the event. Please see below for important deadlines. The deadline for sign up parties is FIRM for planning purposes. Payment must be received at the time of sign up. There will be no exceptions!

MAY HOT LUNCH MENUS ARE NOW ACTIVATED!
FIRM DEADLINE TO ORDER IS
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 25, 2018.
Please check the school calendar for any dates that your child will not be in need of a school lunch. There will be no reimbursements for any orders past the deadline date
.
- Please keep in mind, when ordering and selecting your menu items for the month, that you must complete the ordering process.
- Be sure to "CHECK OUT" the order and "PAY INVOICE" and finally click on "PROCEED". Only when you receive an invoice marked as "PAID" will the order be confirmed.
- Not completing the process will result in an "UNCONFIRMED ORDER". All unconfirmed orders that pass the ordering DEADLINE DATE will not process, which will result in your child not receiving the anticipated lunch item.
After you activate your account, you will need to input our school code. You are able to enter a different code for each child if necessary.
- For grades K-4 use code: 185
- For grades 5-8 use code: 1a7

Earth Day at Kent State University, Stark
On Sunday, April 22, Kent State Stark will once again have its Earth Day celebration from 1-4pm. CCDS will have a station there for kids to do activities and we are looking for volunteers to help. If you are interested in helping, please let Patrick Ater

STEM Story Time Family Science Night
Was Great Fun!
On Thursday evening April 12, 18 education students from the University of Mount Union came to CCDS and put on a STEM Story Time Family Night. CCDS students enjoyed visiting 9 different hands-on stations, learning about a variety of topics including fossils, bridges, balloon rockets, and ice cream. Fitness Drumming
and Trackball in P.E.
1st-5th grades are finishing their fitness drumming unit that worked on students' hand-eye coordination and improved their fitness. All students have really been engaged and active during the entire unit.
Grades 3rd-5th are working in groups to present their own fitness drumming routine. Grades 6th-8th are finishing a tchoukball unit where students use throwing, catching, offense vs. defense strategy, and overall fitness through this fast-pace game. Next week a tennis unit will start.
