Shaken Baby Syndrome Workshops

Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) can happen when an infant or young child is violently shaken. The results can be deadly!

Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention Community Workshops educate parents, grandparents, caregivers, and the public about the dangers of shaking an infant. Shaken Baby Syndrome Train-the-Trainer Workshops provide professionals and volunteers the skills and materials needed to become comfortable conducting Community Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention presentations.

To schedule a Shaken Baby Syndrome Train-the-Trainer or a Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention Community workshop email Belinda Farr. Both the Train-the-Trainer and the Community presentation are free and meets the DCFS requirements for Licensed Home Day Care Providers.

Visit the PCA Illinois website for the most current information on SBS and other prevention programs www.preventchildabuseillinois.org.
