Health and Safety Update
Dear PCA Family,

Thank you, parents, faculty, staff and students for coming together during these challenging times. Your adaptions and creativity far exceeded my expectations! Your posts on social media are inspiring! (I have included some pictures below on this update).

In an effort to provide the best online learning experience, our teachers have gone above and beyond. While we are using best practices, we have not perfected all of our strategies. Please know we are continuing to learn new tools and will strive to implement even more resources to provide a quality learning environment.

Several years ago, PCA developed an “off-site learning plan” to ensure quality instruction would continue in the event of inclement weather or emergency. Who, but God, could have known that it would meet our needs in response to the impact of the COVID-19 virus? Through God’s providence and guidance, we moved to a one-to-one model, and pushed forward with technological advances such as Canvas, various apps, and most recently  myPCA , which together are essential resources for all students and families.

Prestonwood Christian Academy is a ministry of Prestonwood Baptist Church, and many of you may be aware that PBC has cancelled current activities and will probably continue the online worship services through May 8. PCA will be following a different timeline as educational institutions have different metrics for determining our schedule needs.  We will soon announce the plans for the next few weeks, and the status of other school events .

As we learn online, we want to make sure there is a personal touch with our faculty, and that discipleship continues.  Please do not hesitate to contact your teaching team to make sure you have everything you need for these “different types” of school days.

Praying for you,

John P. Klingstedt
