Reading Day with Global Engagement
Global Engagement will be hosting a special event for Ohio State's Reading Day on
Tuesday, April 24. We will have snacks and coffee available staring at 10 a.m. until supplies last in 160 Enarson Classroom Building.
Room 100 will also be available until 9 p.m. as a designated study area for students looking for a quiet place to prepare for exams.
Students are welcome to visit the Office of International Affairs during reading day to study or take a break!
Apply for the Global Internship Program
The China Gateway is accepting applications for the Global Internship Program, a non-credit bearing program that focuses on providing professional opportunities to Ohio State students from May to August in China. Selected student interns will be provided with internship experience, networking opportunities with local alumni and online professional training course on Carmen. There is no cost to participate in the program but students are responsible for their own transportation and accommodation expenses. The Global Internship Program is only open to Chinese students at this time.

Global Engagement Film Series - "Indivisible"
The Office of International Affairs collaborates with the Gateway Film Center to host a monthly international film series. Students have the chance to view films from around the world for free!
April's film will be shown on Wednesday, April 25 at 7 p.m. at the Gateway Film Center and will feature the Italian drama, "Indivisible."
"Indivisible" tells the story of conjoined twins, Daisy and Violet who face the possibility of being surgically separated as they turn 18. Watch the trailer.
Students do not need to register for the event, but plan on coming early because the first 30 students will receive free popcorn and soda! Admission is FREE for students with a BuckID and offered at regular price to the public.
Final Days to Reserve Your Summer Storage - Box Delivery Begins April 17

International students wondering what to do with your belongings over the summer should take advantage of Zippy Shell storage options.
Zippy Shell Greater Columbus will be at Ohio State for the third consecutive year to present ZippyU storage options. Regardless of whether you live on campus or off, Zippy Shell offers one special price for all summer storage.
Zippy Shell offers free, on-campus pickups and redeliveries, including during weekends, at an affordable price with no registration fees. Those interested can reserve before April 17, when boxes will be delivered to students, or leverage the alternate box drop-off scheduled for April 21. Orders received after April 21 will need to have box kits collected at any of the designated pickup locations and times, detailed in the Summer storage move-out pickup schedule that starts April 23 - be sure to bring a copy of your sales order.
The
U.S. Foreign Policy Colloquium (FPC) is an exclusive four-day program designed to provide 75 of the best and brightest Chinese graduate students studying at colleges and universities from across the United States a deeper and more nuanced understanding of the complex forces that shape American foreign policy and the U.S.-China relationship.
The 2018 FPC will be held from May 29 to June 1 in Washington D.C. at The George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs.
Through site visits, lectures and discussions, FPC participants leave the program better equipped to play productive, well-informed roles in the future management of Chinese policy vis-à-vis the United States.

FPC Costs:
$250 participation fee includes accommodations (four nights in a hotel), meals and local transportation
Apply by April 16 to receive a $50 discount and only pay a $200 participation fee
Participants are responsible for all travel costs to and from FPC
A limited number of need-based scholarships are available (more information will be provided to accepted participants)
