Our spring has been packed with great times in Valsesia, 6 weeks of trips and our River Festival with surpringly good water levels after poor snow conditons. Some highlights were a fleeting Gronda session, high water Sesia Alpin Sprint laps and looking our guests nail excellent lines on challenging drops. We also like the coffee and ice cream in Italy too.
We have just finished in the French Alps, with Nico Chassing leading up several weeks of guiding. The late spring there, meant good water levels throughout June. Nico is in place for us all summer, so please get in touch if you wish to enjoy the southern sun and paddling in short sleeves.
Our programme in Norway has already started, with a series of short course in Sjoa. These continue through to the Sjoa River Festival in mid July. In Norway the spring also came late, so we'll expecting good levels throughout the summer. Which is great for our summer programmes that have a few places on each week thoughout August.

As the summer runs on into August, we still have a few places left on our trip programmes to see out a great year.

e look to close out the season in Slovenia with qualification training on our River Leader and Alpine River Leader training programmes. Alpine River Leader & River Leader Training - are for both qualification training and kayakers wishing to simply be a stronger paddler in their group. We cover all the aspects of the BCU leadership awards and safety & rescue training, on the perfect classroom of the Soča. With coaching venues a plenty, and opportunities to test new skills and review performances in quick succession. A complete tactical and technical review of personal paddling with an insight to be able to upscale when rivers get higher flows or rapids get steeper. These courses are for paddlers who also desire an upgrade and wish to step on from their plateauing experience.

For year's Gene17kayaking has been running a Next Generation Training course, base in Slovenia during early AUTUMN. We are currently inviting applications to this training course. Those successful applications, will be heading to Slovenia for a week long training course with Gene17's lead team, who'll offer cutting edge performance coaching for your paddling and insightful advice for your career, at an attractive low price. To apply, complete our Application Form with your application. Applications close when all 3 places have been taken, and places are to be allocated in August 2019. All applicants need to be 18 or over by 21st September 2019.
