The headquarter house (last year's pictured above) serves as a point-of-contact for the media and public, as well as a supply station (balloons, sign riders, etc.) for SAR members during the weekend event when the SAR is closed.

The headquarter house will be promoted to the media, public, and SAR members before and during the event, and receive excellent media exposure.

To nominate your listing(s), please email event chair
Bill Richard with address, listing details, and photos by next Friday, April 13th

This year, we are seeking four headquarter houses - one each north side, south side, valley, and west plains.

Each listing must be active on the Spokane County MLS, available for offers, and included on the official event website, SpokaneOpen.com, the weekend of the event, April 28-29.

SAR members may take advantage of special negotiated rates with the Inlander and The Spokesman-Review for our open house weekend event.

This is optional, but a great way to be sure your participating open(s) get maximum exposure during the event.

Spaces are limited - reserve yours now!

See each flyer below for details.

The Inlander offer (pictured above) is online here.

The Spokesman-Review offer (pictured above) is online here.

DOWNLOAD the event logo (pictured above) for your website and social media channels online here.

We're seeking sponsors for our event now, businesses who can appreciate the exposure of getting in front of 2,000 association members and hundreds of active homebuyers.

Sponsorship opportunities begin at $250/month (minimum six-month commitment) for a banner ad on our official event website, SpokaneOpen.com.

Download and share our letter to event sponsors (pictured above) online here, then share it with potential event sponsors.

REALTOR® Brand Evolution

The iconic REALTOR® block R logo was created in 1973, when the majority of NAR's current 1.3 million members were under 10 years old.

Since that time, the real estate industry and the REALTOR® organization have changed dramatically with advancements in technology and new consumer expectations.

While your business has evolved over these past 45 years, the logo that represents you today is the same as it was in 1973.

Our new REALTOR® block R logo (pictured above) maintains the equity and recognition of the current bold, powerful and trusted trademark, yet modernized to meet the realities of today's marketplace and digital distribution.

We've referred to the new logo as a "new dimension," which reflects an organization that has become more dynamic, fast-moving, member-centric and future focused.

Legal Hotline: Winning the Offer Battle

NEW!

Washington REALTORS® Legal Hotline lawyer Annie Fitzsimmons kicks off a new series!

In part 1 of this series, imagine that your buyer cast too much caution to the wind and found themselves forfeiting earnest money, or maybe regretting having paid too much for the property, or possibly found that the property was riddled with conditions that they weren't aware of.

If your buyer loses that battle, you as the agent could be the collateral damage in the loss of that war.

Buyer might be likely to blame you saying that you failed to caution them sufficiently about the risk they were undertaking.

Annie wants to talk about some of the standards that are considered to be buyer protections.

NAR has created an excellent video to share the story of Fair Housing and why it is important for all real estate brokers to have it in mind every day on the job.

At Home with Diversity

NAR offers a 6.0 credit-hour class that is a perfect fit to our celebration of Fair Housing's 50th anniversary.

At Home With Diversity® is an educational experience designed to present a picture of the changing face of the real estate industry.

More importantly, the class teaches how real estate professionals can increase their sensitivity and adaptability to future market trends.

Additionally, you will learn to thrive as an effective service provider and community leader.

The course addresses issues of diversity, fair housing, and cultural differences.

All three subjects are closely related and have value for real estate professionals who must serve diverse local markets.
