Summer Interns
Meet our Summer Team Members
Kaelyn Woods - Recycling Outreach
& Action Intern
Kaelyn is from New Gloucester, Maine and is a rising junior at Bates College. She is an Environmental Studies major and a memb
er of the nordic ski team. Kaelyn is in Sun Valley for the summer, training with the Sun Valley Ski Education
F
oundation and working at the ERC educating the community about recycling.
When not on the nordic trails in the winter, Kaelyn can be found sneaking in turns on the mountain, running, hiking, and of course, roller-skiing. Although Kaelyn loves living in the mountains during the summers, she can never leave the Maine coast for too long.
Ben Brunelle - Pesticide Action Intern
Ben is a rising junior at University of California, Berkeley. He is studying Environmental Economics and Policy with a prospective minor in Earth and Planetary Science. Ben grew up in Idaho, skiing, hiking, biking, and has recently taken up surfing. Ben is passionate about the environment and is excited to be working in the ERC's Pesticide Action program.
Grace Stribling-Hough -
Pesticide Action Intern
Grace is a junior at Hobart and William Smith Colleges working on a double major of Environmental Studies and Studio Arts. After college, she plans to go to law school and pursue a career in environmental law.
Grace grew up in Washington, DC and has spent her summers in Sun Valley since 2004. In her off-time, she loves to play tennis and ski.
When you see them out and about, whether facilitating recycling at Ketch'em Alive or monitoring noxious weed populations on public lands throughout the valley, make sure you say hi - they would love to meet you!

Nectar Trail
A Series of Pollinator-friendly Planters!
The
Nectar Trail
is a series of planters and gardens with a variety of native, pollinator-friendly plants that are cared for without pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers.
Each unique garden or planter showcases how
you
can provide much-needed resources to local pollinator populations and combat their
global decline.
The
ERC's
Pesticide Action program
advocates for Integrated Pest Management practices, where chemical alternatives are considered first and foremost, and chemicals, when absolutely necessary, are used in small quantities and
only as a last resort
.
