Shoot N' Splash N' Geocache

Have fun, stay cool, and test your skill at the Venturing Shoot N' Splash N' Geocache event on Saturday, April 28 from 9am to 4pm at Lost Pines Scout Reservation. Activities include stand up paddle boarding, pistol and rifle shooting, archery, canoeing, bike-athalon, a geocaching challenge, volleyball tournament, and more! The cost is $10 per Scout. Venturing Extreme Summer Camp

TechLab Summer Day Camp

Our award-winning STEAM Day Camp challenges your Scout to explore STEM as they prepare to live in cave environments. Classes cover Robotics, Electronics, Programming, Woodworking/CNC and more! There are new classes this year at the 6th-9th grade level. Camp takes place at Austin ISD's Applied Technology Center at Anderson High School in five week-long sessions in June and July. 2019 Philmont Council Contingent Openings

Time is running out for your unit to apply for one of the remaining 12 person crews in our 2019 council contingent to Philmont Scout Ranch. The final application deadline is April 30, 2018. The dates for the 10 day expedition in 2019 are Sunday, June 23, to Saturday, July 26. The cost for the expedition is estimated at $1368 per participant. Sea Scouts Spring Splash

A gathering of Sea Scout ships for fun and fellowship on Sunday, April 29, at Lost Pines. There is no program (other than playing with boats), no plan (other than show up and have a good time), and no lunch (so be sure to bring your own)! Registration Open For Summer NYLT

Registration is open for our summer National Youth Leadership Training courses! This week-long course gives Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, Venturers, and Sea Scouts methods, skills and experiences to become better leaders in their unit. The course centers around the concepts of what a leader must be, what he/she must know, and what he/she must do - with a clear focus on how to accomplish all this. Make a HUGE Difference in Scouting

Want to make a HUGE difference in the success of Scouting? Become a Unit Commissioner. There is a Unit Commissioner Training next Saturday, April 21, from 8am-1pm at the Frank Fickett Center. This is a great training opportunity for new unit commissioners and anyone who is interested in joining their district commissioner staff. Trainers presenting this National level training course are all experienced unit and roundtable commissioners. The course is also a great refresher for former or veteran unit commissioners. Plan Ahead For Fall Popcorn Sale

  • Great Scout units have great program. Ask your unit committee for a budget planning focus at an upcoming committee meeting. Great Scout units lay out the yearly plan, dream and get buy-in to build a budget that will support their youth. Click HERE for a tool make it easy.
  • Service above Sales. Consider working with your Unit and District Popcorn Chair to set goals around the participation level of youth or even the number of booths, doors knocked or blocks walked. Focus on service hours devoted to popcorn and you will be surprised of the results.
