In the interest of the health of the contra community and the community at large, Swingin' Tern has cancelled its March 21 and both April dances. All other Folk Project public events are also cancelled. You'll find more information and our new musician/caller fund below.

if your self-identification fluctuates between larks and ravens,
if thrift store clerks where you buy your dresses know you by name,
if dance fliers outnumber family photos on your refrigerator,
if you've just added the umpteenth entry to the latest controversy on Stuff Contra Dancers Say,
and you might be a Contra Rebel if you'd rather be at Swingin' Tern than anywhere else.
Unfortunately even a Contra Rebel doesn’t stand a chance against the Coronavirus, so we will have to save our rebel rousing for the future.
